NVidia 7600GT Looks Good so far

Well, after over 2 days of working with the 7600GT, I'm pretty sure we've got a winner here. It's performing as expected and I have yet to run into any crashes. HD looks sweet, standard def content is good, ripped movies look good...so far, no complaints.

I've begun populating the Recorded TV folder with a bunch of the LW's programs, so when the 100% committed switch somes up, it'll go as smoothly as possible and she'll have everything she needs right there. After making adjustments to the TV's display properties, she's been very happy with the TV quality. If she's happy, then Im happy!

I could not be happier with my 7600GT. It kicks everything I throw at it. I've kicked up all the OpenGL stess tests that I can and this card doesnt even blink. So, yeah, Im on board with you there!

Hows it go otherwise?

By the way, is there any way to pull the stuff from the STB without the firewire? Can I capture it via the S-Video.

Yes, you can capture using the SVideo inputs on your Huappauge cards. Did you get the secondary output bracket to connect to the second tuner's header? With that, you can come into the 500 with 2 STB SVideo cables, and use those. That's what I'm doing with dual 150s. I don't even use the tuner on the 150s at all.
